This policy explains what personal information TradesTally (https://tradestally.ca) collects, why, and how you can contact us about it. We aim to follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Contact form: if you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message so we can reply.
- Comments: if comments are open and you leave one, we collect the name, email and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
- Analytics: we use Koko Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics plugin hosted on our own server. It counts page views without sending data to third parties and without storing personal information.
- Cookies: our site uses a cookie consent tool. Essential cookies keep the site working. If we add advertising or third-party affiliate services, those may set cookies; you can manage your choices through the cookie banner.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the merchant may use cookies to track that the referral came from us. That happens on the merchant’s site under its own privacy policy.
How we use and share information
We use information only to reply to you, run and secure the site, and understand which content is useful. We don’t sell personal information. Our web host processes data on our behalf to run the site.
Retention
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records. You may ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us to make a request. If you aren’t satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy, and will change the date above when we do.
